Getting started
What is Kinhold Discover?
A calm 30–60 day sprint to map a loved one's estate after sudden loss — with an AI-guided estate map, money map, checklist, secure data room, and family workspace.
How long until I see an estate map?
Many families upload their first documents and see a draft estate map and money map within the first session. Both improve as you add more PDFs, CSVs, or photos.
Do I need to connect my bank?
No. At MVP launch you upload PDF statements, CSV exports, or photos — including pictures taken on your phone. Open Banking is planned for a later phase.
Documents & the estate map
What can I upload?
PDF bank statements, CSV exports from major Australian banks, photos of paper statements and letters, scans, screenshots, and emails forwarded to your workspace inbox.
Are personal details from uploads stored in the map?
No. Names, account numbers, emails, phone numbers, and addresses are removed before your estate map or money flow is built. Original files stay in your secure data room.
What are the four quadrants?
Assets found, liabilities found, income streams, and recurring obligations. Each entry shows confidence, status, and links to source documents.
What does "we couldn't find yet" mean?
Kinhold spotted a clue that something may exist — for example, a super payment on a statement — but hasn't located the account yet. We suggest where to look next.
Family workspace
Who should I invite?
Adult children, siblings, or anyone helping organise the estate. You choose whether they can upload and comment or view only.
Can family members edit the estate map?
The workspace owner controls permissions. Active family members can upload and comment; viewers can see progress without changing records.
Can I invite our solicitor?
Yes — as a read-only professional guest with time-limited access and watermarked exports if needed.
Billing & access
Is this a subscription?
Discover is a one-time sprint for your full workspace when we launch. Ongoing POA subscriptions are a separate product launching later.
What happens after 60 days?
Your workspace stays readable. You can export documents and your map. We'll notify you before access changes.
Is there a refund policy?
Contact us within 14 days if Discover isn't right for your situation — we handle bereavement cases with care, not rigid policies.
Security & privacy
Where is data stored?
In Australia (Sydney). Encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Are personal details from my documents stored in the estate map?
No. When you upload PDFs, CSVs, or photos, we remove names, account numbers, emails, phone numbers, and addresses before building your estate map or money flow. Your original files stay in your secure data room — we do not save extracted text containing those personal details.
Does Kinhold provide legal advice?
No. Kinhold organises information and suggests what to verify. Your solicitor advises on legal and estate matters.
Can I hide items from family viewers?
Yes. The workspace owner can restrict specific documents or map entries from certain members.
